Villa Il Galero, an Historical Residence, is situated a few steps from Asolo, on a hill with a beautiful panoramic view under the Rocca of the Medieval city of Asolo. Villa Il Galero was built in 1696 by Cardinal Rubini, the grandson of Alessandro VIII. Over the centuries many families have owned the villa and now it belongs to the family De Lord Rinaldi who have decided to open its doors to people that are able to admire and appreciate its beauty.
Villa “Il Galero” is formed by 4 main buildings : the main Villa, the chapel that was the most ancient sanctuary made for honouring the Virgin Mary and two wings : the venetian barchesse that were initially the barns and stables that have now been built into residences. The Villa is very well preserved, at the inside the “stucchi” everywhere enrich walls and ceilings in the most sophisticated late Baroque movements.
The property is surrounded by green and there are different relax area where one can enjoy the peace of the place. Next to the panoramic swimming pool (18x6m) there is a sheltered area with a full equipped kitchenette, a barbecue, a fridge and a large dining table.
The Villa is available for short or long stays. The villa also offers its facilities for weddings, gala dinners, cocktails or other events at the request of the kind guests.
Villa Il Galero is placed in an unrivaled artistic context, just a few minutes from Villa Barbaro in Maser and the other Palladian villas. In addition, you can reach in a short time the most beautiful cities of Northern Italy such as Venice, Padua, Verona, and the ski resorts in Cortina and the Dolomites. Nearby there are also two golf courses, tennis and a horse riding center.
