The Castello del Catajo is a monumental building full of history, charm and legends, built around the sixteenth century by Pio Enea degli Obizzi. In the course of time the castle was subject to different transformations, first as a ducal palace, later as an imperial holiday residence. Inside the structure you can admire the beauty of the sculptures that adorn the many fountains of the castle, an example is the “Fontana dell’Elefante”, where you can find links to mythology and religion thanks to the presence of Bacchus and the elephant.
Of great impact are also the frescoes that embellish the piano nobile, the work of the Zelotti, which represent the family tree of the families Obizzi, or images of tales; tales of weddings and battles.
Today, following an elaborate restoration, the castle offers to its guests a good 350 rooms, and thanks to the beauty and charm of its frescoed rooms the possibility of organizing events, ceremonies, business meetings and weddings.
The internal and external spaces offer a high level of personalization of the events or weddings, and are made available also of the consultants to make your event unique.
